On-campus Parking
The closest place to park for the MWSF activities is in the underground lot under the UWM Student Union. The entrance to the lot is on E Kenwood Blvd, just east of the Union. If you're staying in the dorms, however, you might want to park in the parking lot under the dorms, then checkin to the dorms, and walk over to the Student Union.
No permit is required to park in the public parking areas on campus. Be prepared to pay the meter, paystation, or cashier. The public parking areas are located in the Pavilion, Student Union, EMS, Sandburg garages, Cunningham, or the Kunkle outdoor lots. The newest of these is the Pavilion, which is attached to the Klotsche Center and has 620 indoor spaces at $0.70/hour. Enter off Downer Avenue or Edgewood Avenue. See the UWM campus map, or go here.
Fees are collected Monday through Saturday, 7:00 am - 8:00 pm: meter parking, coins only, or purchase a Pay Station Card which is good in all Parking Pay Station machines on camus: Sandburg, EMS, Cunningham, and Kunkle.
No parking in reserved areas. These areas are located in outdoor and indoor lotes. A staff permit is required for these spaces.

Trains, Buses and Planes
There are buses 5 times a day to Milwaukee from Chicago for $1 (THAT'S RIGHT, $1!) from megabus.com. To take advantage of this very affordable option, you must register in advance online at the Megabus website. The bus stop in Milwaukee is located at the Milwaukee Amtrak Station, 433 St Paul Ave. From there, you can either: walk three blocks north to Wisconsin Avenue and catch the 30 bus going east, which comes every 9 minutes; or wait for the 57 bus going north, which comes by the Amtrak Station every 30 minutes, take it to the corner of Wisconsin and Water, ask for a transfer, and then catch the 30 bus east. The fare is $1.75.

Driving
Scenic Lake Route From All Directions: From I-43 or I-94 near Downtown, take I-794 east to Lakefront exit (see city map). Proceed 3 miles north along the lake on Lincoln Memorial Dr. to the top of the hill, where Lincoln Memorial Dr. becomes E. Kenwood Blvd. and intersects with N. Lake Dr (see neighborhood map). Proceed straight (west) on Kenwood five blocks to campus.
From the North: Take I-43 south to the Capitol Dr. East exit. Proceed east on Capitol to N. Downer Ave., then south (right) on Downer five blocks to campus.
Parking near UWM is generally widely available during the summer, and even more so on weekends. There is underground parking at the UWM Student Union, through a ramp just east of the building (2200 E. Kenwood Blvd). Other lots are listed on the UWM parking website.
